A bright and cheerful color palette punctuated by coral and orange set the tone for Erin and Ryan's poolside wedding at Cypress House in New Columbia, Pennsylvania. Although COVID-19 meant that the couple's wedding looked a bit different than they initially planned, the end result came together beautifully and Erin says "this Plan B is better than any Plan A I could've dreamed. From the start of wedding planning, we knew we wanted our wedding day to be light, airy, romantic and fun! We wanted every aspect of the wedding to be thoughtful and feel like us. Our venue really set the stage for our big day. The Cypress House is absolutely amazing and beautiful at every turn. For decor, we focused on incorporating small details that had a big impact. Our main wedding decor was our florals and we selected our remaining decor elements to complement that design. I have always dreamt of dreamy florals and the Cypress Floral team delivered. After a lot of planning and gushing over the designs, we decided on a fall palette of yellow, creams, apricot, champagne and worked from there to style the rest of our day. We have not stopped gushing over our wedding day florals." The day's lush arrangements showcased "roses, ranunculus, butterfly ranunculus and some dried florals," says Erin.

With floral details as the focal point, Erin and Ryan made sure each remaining decor element complemented the botanical arrangements at their big day. "To welcome our guests to our wedding day we selected a custom frosted acrylic sign. This flowed perfectly into the ceremony garden," says Erin. "We married in front of a beautifully designed circular arch. Guests then exited to the cocktail hour space on the patio of the Cypress House. We chose to incorporate special details here since we wanted our day to truly feel like us. It was really important to us to incorporate our sweet pup, Murphy, into our day. We had a custom sketch of him made and then worked that into our day with custom koozies, cocktail cups and napkins. Our cocktail tables were dressed in dreamy champagne linens and set with gorgeous florals. Guests moved poolside for our reception. This space was our absolute favorite. Guest tables flanked the pool and were decorated the most amazing floral centerpieces and tall candles. Guests found their seats on our gold framed seating chart and were welcomed to their seat with personalized menus. We were seated in front of the pool house at a gorgeous antique table with more amazing flowers. Our reception bar was complemented with gorgeous greenery and a beautiful 'cheers' sign."

Looking back on the wedding day, Erin and Ryan cite their first look as a particularly memorable part of the celebration. "It was really important for us to have some dedicated time for the two of us. We decided early on that we wanted to have a first look. The night before our wedding we parted ways and gave each other a letter to be read the morning of our wedding. It was so special to wake up and read our thoughts. Our first look was one of our favorite memories. Seeing each other for the first time on our day was magical. The private time was something we will always cherish."
