A Playful, Modern Wedding at the Sandy Hook Chapel in Sandy Hook, New Jersey

“We were inspired by the feel-good, laid-back vibes of the Jersey Shore,” Nerissa Waite (30 and a conference planner) says of outfitting her and Joshua (Josh) D’Amore’s wedding with playful polka dot details and chevron prints.

All five groomsmen donned navy, polka dot ties and Vans sneakers along with magnetic boutonnieres in lieu of traditional blooms. “We made a matching outfit for our dog Bodhi,” Nerissa says. “He even wore the same time as the rest of the guys!”

In addition to a surprise, late-night delivery from a local ice cream truck, dessert included a lemon- and raspberry-filled cake covered in vanilla buttercream. “I had to get the ‘that’s amore’ topper, since I was officially becoming a D’Amore that day!” Nerissa says of the sentimental detail.
