A Playful Black-Tie Wedding at a Private Residence in Lexington, Kentucky
Mary Jane Goodman (26 and a substitute teacher) and Kyle Rosenstein (28 and a resident physician) pulled off their eclectic fall wedding at the bride’s family’s horse farm in Lexington, Kentucky, with boho decor and a light blue and burgundy color scheme. The couple said “I do” during a ceremony that incorporated Catholic and Jewish traditions in front a chapel that the bride’s father had built. They decorated the site with a flower-embellished chuppah and lined the aisle with arrangements of beautiful blooms. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed margaritas and a lavish spread of food while relaxing in boho-chic furniture that was arranged on the lawn. Several televisions were incorporated into the setup and broadcast football games. Other entertainment included an Etch A Sketch artist who created portraits of guests as wedding favors. During the couple’s stunning tented reception, Mary Jane and Kyle danced to Johnny Cash’s “Walk the Line” and were lifted in chairs during the celebratory hora. As the wedding band wrapped up, a DJ surprised guests by kicking off an after-party in a nearby tent where guests danced the night away and had fun with a Slow Motion Video Booth. Late-night bites included spiked milkshakes and brandy freezes along with surprise Whataburger treats. —Marissa Hermanson
