A Pink and Orange Mountain Wedding at Jackson Lake Lodge in Moran, Wyoming

Katie Heist (35 and a primary care physician) and Jon Suddarth (34 and a commercial real estate developer) met at a bar in Denver, Colorado. In fact, Katie picked Jon up. She was out with her girlfriends, and he was having dinner with a friend, when she went up to his table and introduced herself. Two years later, Jon proposed on their favorite hike near Breckenridge, Colorado, called Mohawk Lakes. For the wedding, Jackson Lake Lodge in the Grand Teton National Park was an easy choice for its swoon-worthy views of the mountains. Inspired by Indian Paintbrush flowers, the Wyoming state flower, the couple chose shades of bright pink and orange for their main colors and made everything else neutral-toned. The couple exchanged vows outside while The Richard Brown string quartet plated and a family friend sang special lyrics about the couple to the song “Hallelujah” by Rufus Wainwright. Afterwards, the couple had a cocktail hour full of martinis, Katie and Jon’s favorite drink, and a super local dinner by Jackson Lake Lodge that included an organic green salad with aged Utah blue cheese and Wyoming huckleberry honey vinaigrette.
