Komal and Lindsey's engagement began with two tickets to The Lion King on Broadway and a weekend trip to New York City. On top of the iconic Beau Bridge in Manhattan's Central Park, Lindsey asked Komal how she would feel about spending the rest of her life with him. Komal's response? Maybe. “I wasn't totally sure if he was actually proposing!” Komal says. But, soon that was clarified, as Lindsey got down on one knee. “Of course then I said 'Yes!'” Komal says. Eight months later the two were married at The Sheraton Columbus at Capitol Square in Columbus, Ohio in a luxe pink and gold indoor affair.

The bride chose shoes that she could wear with both her traditional Indian bridal outfit and her western wedding gown.
Lindsey's ivory and crimson outfit was purchased in India.
Lindsey's mother chose his green orchid boutonniere for the wedding reception.
Komal's intricate accessories were purchased abroad in India.
As is tradition, the bride's hands and feet were covered in henna designs.
Even though there were no traditional groomsmen, Lindsey's best guy friends wore black suits with red scarves thrown casually over their shoulders. Lindsey's wedding outfit was purchased in India.
There was no traditional wedding party, but Komal's friends wore saris that her and her mother purchased in India.
Komal wore her hair in a curly side chignon. “I needed my hair to be able to support my Indian outfit's 'veil' and then still look good with my wedding gown,” she says.
Komal and Lindsey changed from their traditional Indian outfits after the ceremony.
The couple wore traditional garb for the ceremony.
The ceremony took place in the main ballroom of The Sheraton Columbus. Pink, white and gold all combined at the ceremony with a large, eye-catching dusty rose Mandap.
The draped, pink Mandap's four pillars were secured with large pink roses.

Pink, green and ivory flowers filled pillar vases at the reception and were surrounded  by metallic candle holders.
Tables at the reception were topped in gold, sequin tablecloths.
The prominent colors at the reception were pink and gold, reflected in the lighting, tablecloths and chiavari chairs.
Tall, glass trumpet vases were decorated with draped crystal beads and bouquets of fresh pink roses and budding hydrangeas.
Komal and Lindsey ate with custom forks engraved with the words, "I Do", and "Me Too."
The four-tiered wedding cake was frosted with ivory buttercream and topped with cascading fresh flowers.
Komal and Lindsey shared their first dance as a married couple with family and friends at the reception to the song "That Girl", by Justin Timberlake.
