Stacy Fiske (29 and an interactive designer) and Brian Marek (39 and a project manager) met at a mutual friend’s wedding and hit it off right away. After a month of dating, Brian’s job with the Coast Guard took him to New Orleans to help with the BP oil spill, but the two kept in contact every day and snuck away for visits whenever possible. A couple years later, during a quiet night at home, Brian proposed; he didn’t forget to include Stacy’s dog, Angel, and presented her with a silver engagement collar to go along with Stacy’s new ring. The couple had a 4th of July-themed wedding in Philadelphia at The Downtown Club, a charming venue located right across from the Liberty Bell with beautiful views of the city from the top floor. Stacy wore a gown by La Sposa by Pronovias, while Brian and the groomsmen wore Black by Vera Wang. The couple’s wedding took place on July 5th, so they went with a red, white and blue color palette, choosing to go with aqua blue for a less traditional look. At the reception, the couple served Philly cheese steaks and a bounty of comfort food before dinner even began, and topped off the evening with an extravagant nautical ombre cake. For favors, the couple made a patriotic gesture and donated to the local veteran’s home where Brian volunteers his time.
