A Pastel-Colored Wedding in Heart of Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia
When Amanda Panholzer (25, and a registered nurse) and Stephen Hammack (30, and an instructional designer) started planning their wedding, they knew that they wanted a romantic, pastel-colored wedding in Colonial Williamsburg complete with a horse and buggy, historical streets, and an intimate outdoor reception at The Mariners Museum. Their perfect vision came together surrounding the location where they had grown up, spent time dating and chosen to get married. Amanda and Stephen have wonderful memories of spending time together on the trail surrounding The Mariners Museum; walking, running, and reading in one of their favorite spots. It was also the same spot where Stephen proposed to Amanda.“We were able to share the same environment where we have spent so much time together with our family and friends" said Amanda, “Our main colors consisted of beautiful pastels of celadon green, passion purple, pale, soft peach and blush pink to compliment the rich color of summer greenery and the surroundings of Colonial Williamsburg”
After the ceremony the couple took a side trip into the heart of Williamsburg for a few portrait shots on an old-fashioned horse and buggy where the newlyweds were able to enjoy a special moment with one another. When Kristen and Stephen started dating they loved spending time in Williamsburg taking walks around the college and down the historical streets, indulging in all the delicious foods. An outdoor reception followed in Amanda’s hometown, Newport News, in the courtyard at The Mariners Museum. Using pastel colors, Amanda set off the intimate outdoor space where guests sipped signature cocktails and danced into the evening.
