A Paris-Inspired Wedding at The H Hotel in Midland, Michigan
Kindy Anderson (27 and a registered nurse) and Erik Szarzynski (26 and a financial analyst) took inspiration from their chance meeting in Paris to guide the theme for their elegant wedding day. Using lavender accents with black and white details, plus plenty of odes to French culture, the couple created a day that truly spoke to their love story. Kindly carried a crisp, white bouquet of hydrangeas, roses and gardenia, while her bridesmaids' bouquets added purple blooms to match their asymmetrical, floor-length gowns. The men donned James Bond-inspired black tuxedos, which allowed Kindy's A-line lace gown stand out while saying their vows. After a ceremony in the courtyard, a sign that read "Paris is always a good idea" greeted guests into the reception. Arrangements of purple roses and white hydrangeas topped the sweetheart table, while bold uplighting created an upbeat vibe. But Paris was ever present, with an Eiffel Tower cake topper—where the couple first kissed in Paris—and guests left with cake pops attached to notes reading "Merci!" "Marry your best friend," Kindy says. "Don't get caught up int he details of the day. If at the end, you married your best friend, you did it right."
