A Pair of Pharmacists Paid Homage to Their Careers During Their Dove Ridge Vineyard Wedding in Texas

Kathleen and Steven met while doing their pharmaceutical practicums at a CVS pharmacy and decided to pay homage to their medical careers when it came time to design their wedding at Dove Ridge Vineyard in Weatherford, Texas. "We met working at CVS Pharmacy when we were both finishing our doctorates in pharmacy and connected over our mutual love of role-playing games," shared Kathleen. Although a large wedding was their initial plan, the couple reimagined their perfect day as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, even though their wedding ended up being an intimate affair, no detail was overlooked with their pharmaceutically-inspired event. As a nod to how they met, pharmacy bottles were filled with fresh blooms and wrapped with table assignments instead of traditional escort cards. "Many guests chose to take these home at the end of the day of which was nice," Kathleen recalls of the escort-cards-turned-favors. The couple also honored their Vietnamese roots by serving a 7-course meal with traditional menu items like bean curd shrimp rolls and Peking duck with bao buns. Delicate hints of red further played tribute to their heritage and their shared belief in the auspiciousness of the shade. "Red symbolizes good luck and is traditionally a wedding color in Vietnamese tradition," explains Kathleen.
