A Outdoor Nature-Inspired Mountain Wedding at Mountain Home Inn in San Francisco, California

A passion for running and an overall love for the outdoors served as the inspiration for this casual, natural wedding. Christina Marshall (31 and a preschool director) and Tony Marshall (37 and a regional sales director) knew they wanted to have their ceremony and reception on Mount Tamalpais in San Francisco, California, a local mountain where the couple went on frequent runs together. The couple said their vows on the warm, sunny wedding day while surrounded by breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Marin Headlands and San Francisco, all captured by ComePlum Photo & Design. Christina’s wedding dress was the second one she tried on at a Sarah Seven flagship store in San Francisco, California, which had a lace bodice with a sweetheart neckline that was accented with a thin crystal belt. Tony followed a more casual look and wore a gray suit from Banana Republic with a white-collared dress shirt and no tie. A bus took guests to Mountain Home Inn for their reception, which was located down the mountain from where the ceremony took place. With the help of Mountain Home Inn event planners, accents of lace, wood, mason jars and burlap decorated the rustic space where guests sat and enjoyed a mostly vegan and gluten-free meal. A trail-mix bar was set up for guests to make their own goodie bags to take home with them, which was an energizing snack that reflected the couple’s healthy, natural lifestyle. “We made sure the wedding was as laid-back as we are, with glimpses of our lives and passions revealed throughout the ceremony and reception,” Christina says.
