A Whimsical Camp-Themed Wedding at Ronora Lodge and Retreat Center in Watervliet, Michigan

Considering Jessi and Geoff first connected at a frisbee tournament, it only made sense that their wedding be just as adventurous as their meet-cute. The couple invited loved ones to Ronora Lodge & Retreat Center for a rustic party complete with a bonfire, barbecue bites and rounds of poker. At their vows, Jessi and Geoff marked the beginning of their marriage by raising a flag reading “Camp Geoff and Jessi” up the campsite’s historic flagpole.
Jessi and Geo skipped a wedding party and, instead, assigned each cabin its very own “camp counselor,” who ran point on their campers’ logistics—whistles included. The couple topped tables with vintage thermoses and cheerful sunflowers. Jessi, Geo and their guests got competitive with basketball and frisbee, as well as swimming and paddleboarding in Lake Sherwood, but also embraced their inner Zen with morning yoga.
