A Neutral, Rustic Wedding at Sweet Seasons Farm in Valley Head, Alabama

We've seen a few things at Sweet Seasons Farm in Valley Head, Alabama (including herds of sheep), but this rustic wedding matched its natural landscape with just the right mix of personal and sweet details. Even Ashley Hutcheson (28 and a doctor) and Ryan Brewer’s (30 and in engineering) color scheme was inspired by its beauty. “Ryan and I are both lovers of nature, so the thought of settling on just two colors made our heads spin,” Ashley says. Instead, they chose a neutral color palette to enhance the scene. Their decor was light and the setting was teeming with lush greenery as Ashley and Ryan started their ceremony. Stems and Styles highlighted the space with roses and eucalyptus on both sides of the wooden arbor. After the couple exchanged vows, all were encouraged to celebrate with a few games of corn hole and a country reception. Colorful mixed chairs lined each wooden table, as huge logs formed the centerpieces. Succulents and greenery popped out from each nook and cranny to accent the place settings. Our favorite detail? The groom's cake! Tina Cake's baked a tackle-box-inspired confection complete with a fishing rod, hooks and candied worms as a surprise for Ryan. But the heart of this whole affair was Ashley and Ryan's love. “Ryan and I spent so much time enjoying each other and falling more in love every day as we were planning our wedding,” Ashley says. “We wanted our wedding day to be a special day for all our friends as well as for our families.” Their day was just that. Mandy Owens Photography captured every sweet moment as they ended the night with a few laughs and a sparkler exit.
