A Navy, White and Silver Wedding at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida
The private Ocean Reef Club is filled with gorgeous waterfront views, sandy white beaches and natural palm trees. For Elizabeth Nicolli (30 and a physician), this getaway spot was also home to more than a few childhood memories. On their wedding day, it was only fitting that Elizabeth and Eamon McLaughlin (28 and a physician) let the club's ambience inspire their decor. “The style came from our surroundings—the green of the palm trees, the blue water and so on,” she says. They started the day with a simple church ceremony and ended the celebration in a waterfront reception. Guests enjoyed cocktails around the pool as Parrish Designs, Elizabeth and Eamon’s florist, accented each round table's navy linens with a lush arrangement of white hydrangeas and orchids atop silver candelabras. Family-style tables were met with tablescapes of the same blooms and tall silver candlesticks. Their wedding cake reflected each bloom with a classic touch. Its five ivory tiers were met with a topper of lush white orchids. After a few sunset photos, Elizabeth and Eamon joined their guests by the Palm Court restaurant. Eamon wore a charcoal gray tuxedo and striped navy tie while Elizabeth was dressed in a fun ivory Sarah Janks wedding dress covered in beading and pleated layers of chiffon along the skirt. “It was beautiful and I could move easily in it,” Elizabeth says. They danced around the gazebo and reconnected with loved ones for the rest of the night. Jeff Kolodny Photography documented every navy, silver and white detail, below.
