A Nautical Wedding at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, Maine

Tricia and Angus met on a bike ride at the University of New Hampshire, which kicked off weekend ski and biking trips, since the couple shares a love

Tricia and Angus met on a bike ride at the University of New Hampshire, which kicked off weekend ski and biking trips, since the couple shares a love for the outdoors. After graduating, the couple moved back to their home state of Maine. After a few months of living in Portland, Angus proposed to Tricia on a hike overlooking the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The couple's wedding ended up being the complete opposite of what they had originally envisioned. Instead of a Fall farm wedding with purple gowns, pumpkins and deep red and orange flowers, the couple's wedding embraced a more nautical theme with bold navy colors, seashell accents and a ceremony overlooking the Spring Point Lighthouse and the islands of Casco Bay. "It really was the best day ever and even though it turned out so differently from my original vision I wouldn't change a thing. I think it is so important to be flexible and open as a bride. You're likely going to have to compromise on something and you'll enjoy the process so much more if you're okay with changing your ideas and being open to new ones," Tricia says.
