A Nautical Wedding at Columbia Yacht Club in Chicago, Illinois

Dan Alexander, 27, who works in freight logistics, wed his bride Katie Alexander, 26, who works in lab management, on a beautiful summer day in Chicago. The couple met through a mutual friend in Indianapolis shortly after Katie graduated college. "Dan was so great that about an hour into having met him, he was treating me like we had known each other forever,” she says. Because Katie grew up boating, it only made sense for the couple to marry in a nautical-themed wedding at Columbia Yacht Club. The bride and groom designed their wedding colors to match those of signal flags and incorporated an anchor logo into much of the d?cor. Katie advises other couples to relax and have fun with wedding planning. “When you hear the music that walks you down the aisle, you'll be focused on the only thing that matters — each other,” she says.
