A Nautical Beach Wedding at Carolina Yacht Club in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina

Loving all things beach, it’s obvious why Anastasia Ford (30 and a recreation therapist) and Josh Ford (34 and an assistant principal) chose Carolina Yacht Club in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, for their nautical nuptials. They loved celebrating inside while the kids played in the sand outside. The day started in a traditional religious ceremony in a 100-year-old stone church downtown, and Anastasia’s father even officiated the wedding. Sea glass, seashells and anchors adorned the reception ballroom, and an ivory, blush and navy color palette added a romantic twist to the classic beachy wedding. In lieu of traditional flowers, the bridesmaids carried paper flowers and Anastasia carried silk blooms, all accented in crystals and pearls for a little added glamour. One of our favorite details was Anastasia’s gorgeous dress. She wanted a dress that would match the yacht club and the church, so she chose a strapless, ivory mermaid-style gown. We love the asymmetrical detailing throughout the skirt and on the bust, which gives it a personalized feel.
