A Nature-Inspired Wedding at Eagle Mountain Golf Club in Fountain Hills, Arizona

With a palette of soft ivory, gray, green and gold hues, Lauren Garcia and Justin Brandsma planned a natural affair for their spring wedding in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The light, airy aesthetic was inspired by the setting and allowed the pair to keep the emphasis on the striking views of the surrounding McDowell Mountains and lush desert valleys. Greenery was key in bringing Lauren and Justin’s vision to life. Loose, fresh bunches of eucalyptus, palm branches, bamboo and more anchored the centerpieces, with bright shades of green popping against the crisp white table linens. Geometric terrariums filled with fairy lights and sleek silver table numbers wove in an element of modern appeal. “One way we personalized the day was by having mariachis during cocktail hour,” Lauren says. “This is a tradition my family has done since my dad graduated college. Since then, all big family events call for some mariachis!” The couple also asked Justin’s grandfather to officiate the ceremony, putting an extra-sentimental twist on the day’s events. “At one point, he read a paragraph for Justin to repeat instead of a line at a time—I think it’s safe to say it gave everyone a good laugh seeing Justin’s face, keeping with the light-hearted theme we were going for,” Lauren says.
