A Natural, Woodland Wedding at Painted Rock Lodge in Tahoe City, California

Since love for the outdoors brought them together, Jordan Feist (24 and a restaurant operations manager) and Mark Klawiter (28 and a market research recruiting manager) had their natural wedding surrounded by the running water and woodlands at Painted Rock Lodge in Tahoe City, California. "Mark and I fell in love with each other through common love for the outdoors and backpacking," Jordan says. "We knew we wanted a wedding outside, and Tahoe—one of our favorite places—fit as the perfect place." Mint, peach, yellow and pink pastels colored the details seen throughout Mother Nature's landscape—from the strapless mint bridesmaid dresses that draped to the floor, to the centerpieces filled with roses, dahlias and tiger lilies arranged inside vases made of bark. Jordan and Mark got married at the wooden arch covered in overflowing greenery and ivory blooms, with the river behind them that served as a stunning backdrop. The reception took place outside the rustic lodge, where guests sat at wooden dining tables decorated with black-and-white photos of Jordan and Mark. Our favorite detail had to be Jordan's gorgeous cream V-neck wedding dress decorated entirely in lace, designed by Jim Hjelm Blush and captured on camera by Nightingale Photography. "I've never been big on things that were too loud and frilly, but finding my dress was a lot easier than I expected," Jordan says. "I kept it even simpler by going barefoot down the aisle."
