Adam Schueren and Jessica Jones felt a spark when they both attended Miami University. It wasn't until Adam moved back to Columbus, Ohio and Jessica to Washington, D.C. that they explored their relationship on a deeper level. After doing long distance for a year, Jessica packed up and left for Columbus to move in with Adam. A few days following Thanksgiving that same year, the couple were dressed in casual sweats while decorating their Christmas tree. Jessica was trying to find a special ornament Adam hung on the tree, and when she did, realized there was an engagement ring on it. Adam's great-grandmother's diamond was incorporated into Jessica engagement ring and embodied the intimate love their wedding day would project. The couple had their wedding ceremony nine months later at Cook Forest State Park in Cooksburg, Pennsylvania, which was where each of Adam's four grandparents fell in love, raised their families, and built their businesses, as well as Adam's  parents falling in love in the area later on. Their reception took place at Seventh Son in Columbus, Ohio, a local brewery where the couple had planned most of their wedding, and was conveniently located just two blocks away from their home. It was only natural Adam and Jessica incorporated where they came up with their ideal wedding and brought the celebration full circle.
