A Natural, Vintage Wedding at the New World Inn in Columbus, Nebraska

Laura (25, an Interior Designer) and Matti (24, an Intern Architect) met in a college English class. "Throughout the semester, we joked around and got to know each other--and we quickly began looking forward to going to English Class!" Laura recalls.  After three and a half years together, Matti proposed on a weekend vacation in Yankton, South Dakota. "We went on a little hike with beautiful cliffs and scenery, and we ended up down by the water. We were talking away and then Matti turned me around to him on one knee with a ring! It was perfect and I was ecstatic!" Laura says. The couple's wanted a simple, vintage, natural theme for their wedding. Old books, wine bottles, antique jars and tea lights added a vintage touch while wood slabs, lace, flowers and green added a romantic, organic look. Personal touches like the handmade marquee the couple made, and Laura's grandfather's homemade wine gave the wedding a personal touch.
