Hayley Ailshie (29 and an attorney) and Daniel Nanasi (30 and the owner of Think Branded Media) met through one of their future maids of honor. On a trip to Hungary to visit Daniel’s family, while he and Hayley sat with their feet dangling off of Gellert Hill with a glass of wine, Daniel proposed. Since the couple had family and friends traveling from all over the world to attend their wedding, they wanted time to spend with their guests outside the six-hour wedding window. While searching for a venue that could house all of their guests for a long weekend, the couple found a summer camp in Fischer, Texas, that had enough lodging for everyone and offered activities such as hiking, canoeing, volleyball, a swimming hole and a pool to fit everyone’s personalities. The dining hall was a convenient location for a rehearsal dinner barbecue, and the chapel suspended in the trees inspired the couple’s ceremony. “Our style was largely inspired by our venue, a summer camp in the Texas Hill Country. We wanted to keep everything very earthy and play off the natural backdrop with lots of brown, green, white and wood with small pops of blush, purple and peach for a soft romantic atmosphere,” says Hayley. The couple incorporated a “Camp HD” logo throughout their stationery, wedding day decor and theme of the weekend’s activities. “Our whole weekend was about making everyone as comfortable as we could and having a lot of fun,” says Hayley.

The reception venue was a large metal pavilion, allowing for a covered outdoor reception. The groom and his friends hung white draping fabric, cafe lights and decorated the basketball goals with the couple’s “Camp HD” logo to transform the pavilion into a reception venue.

The couple spent the year prior to the wedding collecting mis-matched china plates to use at their reception.
The couple used lots of greenery, including garland table runners, to keep the decor earthy and natural.
Daniel’s childhood Hebrew school teacher, Eli Davidson, played the hora. “Because we spent the whole weekend with our guests, we didn’t have to go to table to table and instead spent that time dancing,” says Hayley. “Every person as on their feet dancing the night away.”
The wedding cake was an Italian creme cake with vanilla icing and decorated with ruffles and blush floral accents.
