A Natural, Rustic Wedding at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon

A fair share of weddings take place surrounded by the rustic woods in the state of Oregon, but this one may take center stage – quite literally. Surrounded by the green rolling hills and tall oak trees, “The Stage” at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon, is typically used for concerts and shows, but served as a platform for vows to be said. Jessie Samuel (26 and an accountant) and Nathan Heng (26 and a turf technician) had their simple outdoor wedding onstage, which Crystal Genes Photography beautifully captured throughout the entire day. Jessie wore a long ivory strapless dress with intricate beading in a mermaid style, designed by Mori Lee. The bridesmaids matched her soft, elegant dress with wearing light pink long dresses, while Nathan wore a gray suit with silver accents similar to his groomsmen’s attire. As an extra special touch, Nathan’s father built a trellis decoration for the stage, decorated with flowers and vines from a tree that was planted by his grandmother in their yard years ago. In addition to the trellis, one of Nathan’s groomsmen built an arbor for the couple to get married under. “I hadn’t seen it until the day of and it is literally the most gorgeous thing,” Jessie says. “The arbor now sits in our backyard and reminds us everyday of the vows we took before it.”
