A Natural, Outdoor Wedding at Stone Gardens in Fallbrook, California
Walk into this natural, garden-themed wedding and get the vibe of being in the tropics, thanks to a built-in oasis, rock yard and lush landscape. Courtney Richartz (33 and in accounting) and Mike Dixon (34 and an engineer) had their ceremony and reception where Courtney worked: Stone Gardens in Fallbrook, California, described by the bride as “a very open canvas, giving room to captivate all the dreams of your special day.” The color palette was made up of various white hues that complemented the natural green accents throughout the venue; all the details were captured by Red Trolley Studio. Courtney picked out a ivory wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and beaded bodice from Here Comes the Bride in San Diego, and Mike wore a charcoal gray tuxedo with black lapels from Men's Wearhouse. The couple was married underneath a tree decorated in string lights and elegant crystal chandeliers that hung from above. White formal lounge furniture had silver standing tables next to them at the reception, holding up delicate ivory flower arrangements of daisies and roses. Our attention was caught by the vintage-style wedding invitations of worn paper placed in old books that went with the white, natural color palette. “Since the invitation is the first glimpse you get of a wedding, I spent a lot of time finding what I felt captured the feeling of the wedding and of us,” Courtney says. “I found book invitations on Etsy.com, which were white and worn. The book was tied with a black ribbon, placed in black boxes and shipped.”
