A Natural Modern Wedding at the Midtown Loft and Terrace in New York, New York

Melanie Dagreo (25 and a blogger) and Anthony Maroon (31 and a sales account executive) had an unbelievably unique and romantic introduction. They met while on a flight from Paris to Miami, where Anthony worked up the courage to talk to her--only to discover that she barely spoke any English! Despite the challenge, they struck up a lengthy conversation and exchanged phone numbers before Anthony continued on to San Francisco. They communicated long distance over Skype, and Melanie says, "From he beginning, our conversation always felt natural and easy, as if we already knew each other for a long time." After just two weeks, Anthony traveled back to Miami to visit, and just two weeks after that, Melanie moved with him to Miami for the remaining three months of her US visit. When her trip concluded, she went back to France, but it was just another two weeks later that Anthony crossed the ocean and proposed. He prepared a scavenger hunt throughout Paris that concluded at the Ponts des Arts, where she had to find the lock to match her key (luckily, it was designated with a big red bow!). When she found it, she read the last note and turned to find Anthony on one knee. When Melanie moved back to the US, they decided to live in New York, and she immediately fell in love with city life. They wanted a loft wedding to showcase the city skyline, so they held their wedding at the Midtown Loft and Terrace in the heart of New York City. The elegantly modern celebration featured natural rustic elements, like a lush green wedding arch and dark wooden reception tables with green and brown flowers the bride arranged herself. At the end of the evening, the couple invited their intimate party of fifty guests to their favorite local nightclub (where the bride changed into a bathing suit to jump into an indoor jacuzzi!) to keep the party going and enjoy the best of Manhattan nightlife.
