A Natural, Modern Wedding at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio
“Every detail surrounding our wedding day was inspired by the beauty of nature and flowers in full bloom,” Alexis Victor (25 and a designer) says of her and Anthony White’s (26 and an engineer) botanical bash.
Bridesmaids dressed in knee-length shift dresses bursting with vibrant blooms for a look that coordinated with the couple’s verdant venue. For the reception, Alexis and Anthony passed on traditional florals in favor of DIY hypertufa pots filled with ferns, moss and other foliage.
Guests dined under tropical trees in the venue’s airy Palm House, which boasts a dramatic, glass-paneled ceiling. At the end of the night, family and friends assembled their own terrarium favors, taking home glass containers filled with air plants, pebbles, sand and moss. “I like knowing that our guests still have a part of our wedding day growing in their living room,” Alexis says.
