A Natural Lush Garden Wedding at L'Auberge de Sedona in Sedona, Arizona

Jennifer Matzen (35, dentist) and Ryan Bayer (28, resource planner) met in Rocky Point, Mexico at a sand volleyball tournament. There was an immediate attraction and the two were eyeing each other all weekend before exchanging numbers. Once home in Arizona, the couple connected and went out on their first date to start their love story. Ryan proposed in Sedona, Arizona while on a weekend hiking trip. “As we left Sedona as an engaged couple, I realized I really wanted to have our wedding there, too,” says Jennifer. “It was such a beautiful and magical place.” They both thought it would be fun to have an outdoor wedding at L’Auberge de Sedona next to Oak Creek, where ducks swim and water flows over rock formations. “Surrounded by flowers and a canopy of sycamore trees, it’s one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever been,” says Jennifer. The color theme for the couple’s “lush garden” wedding was mixed pale blush pinks, dusty rose and ivory. They decorated with vintage grey lanterns and bistro lighting for an added twinkle to the lush natural setting.
