A Natural, Country Wedding at K & K Garden View Estate in Bend, Oregon
The natural property at K & K Garden View Estate in Bend, Oregon, shaped a country feel for the nuptials between Sara Wrightman (25 and a pediatric nurse) and Kris Cox (26 and a physician assistant). Getting married in their shared hometown meant a lot to Sara and Kris, especially since it's where they fell in love. Plus, who could say no to a venue that took care of most of the decor through its surrounding landscape? Although this was the case, Sara and Kris wanted to add some rustic touches to the day, and they did just that—from the mason jars wrapped with twine that hung at the ceremony to burlap runners draped across dining tables. Bright yellow, orange and red blooms made up the arrangements and centerpieces, which popped against the wedding's darker colors of navy blue and gray, captured on camera by Kellianne Jordan Photography. The reception took place at the wooden pavilion, antique silver teapots filled with vibrant flower decorated dining tables where guests sat for the evening. After a barbecue buffet, a dessert table filled with iced cupcakes, lemon bars and chocolate-covered strawberries satisfied every sweet tooth. Our favorite detail? The wedding party's casual yet elegant look, which embodied the color scheme of gray and navy blue while also incorporating the casual, natural-looking style of the nuptials.
