A Natural Chic Wedding at Los Poblanos Historic Inn in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Jessica Goldman (27 and an office manager) and David Goldman (24 and a church development specialist) met while attending a mutual friend’s graduation party and remained friends over the years, each as the token single girl and guy in their group of friends. When they were recruited to go on a double date with their friends, the two continued to date for the few months until they realized their relationship was meant to last a lifetime. David planned a proposal on a zip lining trip the couple took to Durango; David proposed on a rooftop deck while the couple’s family and friends waited in attendance at the bottom of the zip line tour. The couple had their wedding and reception at Los Poblanos Historic Inn in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by expansive gardens and greenery. “I knew long before we were engaged that was where I wanted to get married. It transports you to another place in time—truly an amazing feeling,” says the bride. The couple wanted the day to have a modern, chic feel while still incorporating vintage elements and a color palette of bordeaux and teal with touches of gray and neutrals. The ceremony took place outdoors, followed by a cocktail hour on the fireplace terrace with the signature Los Poblanos beverage, a lavender-lime margarita. Guests dined outdoors and followed into the ballroom for dancing. “The whole day was elegant and trendy, but still a lot of fun and relaxed,” says the bride.
