The Bride Bethany Johnson, 31, a case manager for Civil Society The Groom Parag Maski, 38, a student and researcher at the University of Minnesota The Date May 19 Friends and family were witnesses to a marriage of two very different cultures at Bethany and Parag's Minneapolis wedding. Bethany is Swedish and Parag is Indian, so they were married in two ceremonies: an abbreviated Hindu/Indian wedding followed by a traditional western wedding. For us, our day was really about taking the two different cultures and fully committing to them both -- and then fusing everything together for a huge party reception, says Bethany.
