A Mountaintop Elopement at Crave Real Burgers in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Wanting to forgo all the fuss and stress that come with planning a wedding, Toni Williams (29 and a chef) and Jeff Morlan (30 and a chef) tossed tradition and eloped. They chose the lookout point where they always stop on their way to the reservoir on the weekends. The gorgeous mountaintop views overlooked Pike’s Peak in the background and were definitely swoon-worthy. Since Toni and Jeff had to hike up the mountain to get to their site, Toni wore fabulous blue and yellow Puma sneakers with her stunningly simple J.Crew A-line wedding dress. “I am obsessed with J.Crew,” Toni says. “When they started J.Crew weddings, I knew I would get my dress from them one day.” Wanting to add a pop of color to the otherwise neutral attire, Toni carried a green and yellow bouquet wrapped in a green polka-dot ribbon, and Jeff wore a green bow tie to match. They loved how the bright colors fit in with the natural setting and reflected their bright personalities. After their intimate nuptials, they headed down the mountain for burgers and fries at their favorite local burger joint, Crave Real Burgers in Colorado Springs, Colorado. But the party didn’t stop there. We love that they shared a milkshake at the diner before heading home for their one-tier chocolate buttercream cake topped with a white sugar rose, which they completed, of course, with champagne and a movie. A tip from the bride: “Keep it simple,” she says. “Make it about the two of you, focus on just what you need to make this day special and, most important, make sure your photographer rocks.”
