A Mountain Destination Wedding at Angel Fire Resort in Angel Fire, New Mexico

Hanna Laws (22 and a recent graduate from New Mexico State) and Josh Guerrero (23 and in the U.S. Army) met at a Josh Abbott concert. A bull rider wearing a cowboy hat asked Hanna to dance; meanwhile, Josh was the last person at the door to buy a ticket before the concert sold out. Later on in the night, Hanna and Josh made eye contact and she beckoned him to come over, thinking he was the boy who had asked her to dance earlier. When Josh asked Hanna to dance, she leanin and said, “You lost your hat,” to which Josh replied that he never had one. They laughed it off and continued to dance, and to this day, they are dancing still. The two were married in the mountains of Northern New Mexico on the golf course at the Angel Fire Resort. “Having an outdoor wedding was the only option for Josh and me since we are so connected to nature,” says Hanna. Their theme was inspired by their location in the Rocky Mountains, and the couple decorated in navy, coral and gray to pop against the lush green backdrop. “We incorporated little sentimental items to our wedding to make everyone involved, including the mailbox of my great grandparents and bells brought over by our ancestors,” says the bride. Hanna and Josh gave their guests mints handmade by the bride’s grandmother and a jar of local honey.
