With a modern aesthetic in mind, Lindsey Perdeck (27 and an associate manager of HR programming at The Knot) and Danny Schwimmer (28 and in real estate syndications at Wells Fargo) fused lush white blooms with plenty of candlelight for a romantic winter affair. “I always wanted a black-and-white wedding, but we needed some sort of color,” Lindsey says of adding gold to the mix. “It really brightened everything up.” She also opted for “light” flowers—calla lilies—for the boutonnieres and her bouquet, which she wrapped with religious charms that once belonged to Danny’s grandmothers. “I wanted to feel like they were with us at the ceremony,” Lindsey says. She incorporated branches into arrangements of white orchids, calla lilies and hanging votives. “We chose all-white tablecloths, but with crazy-cool designs,” Lindsey says. “It was like a winter wonderland!” The couple had a signature drink, the Schwimmer Mule, as well as vodka-infused gummy bears and Jell-O shots. Along with their four-tier cake, they passed around shot glasses of milk with a cookie on top as guests danced to the 10-piece band. “Everyone is still talking about our cocktail hour,” Lindsey says.
