A Modern Winter Wedding at the Seaport Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts

Lisa Goldberg (30 and a hotel group sales manager) and Michael Clark (31 and works in employee benefits) met one night at a mutual friend’s house party in South Boston. After four years of dating, Michael decided to pop the question. “In the dead of winter, I came home to a table full of roses and candles with Mike down on one knee. Being an avid Bachelor fan, he asked if I would accept the final rose and I said yes!” says Lisa.Wanting a city wedding, the couple looked to the Seaport Hotel to host their winter affair. Not only was the venue conveniently located, the hotel’s Harbor Ballroom offered stunning views of Boston Harbor, which set a chic, romantic tone for the reception. Looking to the season for inspiration, Lisa and Michael planned a wintry, modern affair with an elegant twist. They chose a color palette of winter white, charcoal gray and silver to inspire visions of sparkling snow and ice. The reception tables were topped with lush bunches of ivory hydrangeas, roses and ranunculuses, warm candlelight and shimmering silver linens, making the room feel like an elegant, wintry scene. Pops of purple added a playful modern touch to the d?cor. A self-proclaimed foodie, the menu was Lisa’s favorite part of the planning. Before guests hit the dance floor, they indulged in decadent eats like lobster cones, spring rolls, crab cakes, plus a pasta station and cheese station — and that was just cocktail hour. World Premiere Jazz Band got guests up out of their seats and kept the party rocking until last call.
