A Modern, Whimsical Wedding at Springdale Station in Austin, Texas

Kate Peeples and Mike Marchio wanted their wedding to reflect their love for Austin, Texas, so they booked Springdale Station—a new venue that was previously an old train station. "The color palette centered on greenery and highlights of ruby jewel tones," Kate says. "One friend called it 'Joshua Tree chic,' and given that Joshua Tree was one of the first trips we took together, it felt fitting." The ceremony took place in an outdoor space with wood folding chairs, string lights and a triangular wedding arch. Kate stunned in a classic A-line gown with a V-neckline and accessorized with a Juliet cap veil for the ceremony. Her bridesmaids wore red velvet dresses, and Mike sported a suit with a patterned shirt and yellow tie. "Mike's dad passed away about a year before we met, so my dad took him to Tecovas and bought him boots for the wedding. It was important that Mike incorporate a little bit of Texas into his attire (despite being originally from Minnesota) because he has more love for this place than anyone I've ever met." Inside the venue, the reception was decorated with farm tables and greenery. The couple also had a portable bar, Hello Trouble Hall, which boasted fun paintings on its exterior. Kate and Mike curated their plentiful dessert table from their favorite bakeries around Austin.
