The couple built their modern, destination wedding around Brooke’s favorite color -- purple. A peachy shade of nectar was used as an accent color. The Bride Brooke Hawley, 30, a stay-at-home mom and marketing consultant The Groom Darnell Edwards, 32, a real estate agent The Date June 12 “I was going to pair it with dandelion gold, but since I am a huge Vikings fan, it seemed a little too much,” says the bride. Brooke and Darnell also included tributes to their life in Panama, like the palms and the Panamanian flowers Brooke wore in her hair.

Brooke had her florist tuck some Panamanian fish scale flowers into her vibrant purple bouquet of Vanda orchids.
The couple chose to focus on their relationship, family and love, rather than incorporating religious traditions.
She wore similar flowers attached to a comb in her hair as a nod to the couple’s life together in Panama City.
Paying special attention to the subtle details, the groom wore purple socks and the bride slipped into dark purple strappy sandals.
Darnell wore a purple orchid to match Brooke’s bouquet.
Rather than a traditional cake, the bride and groom served Bailey’s chocolate and Raspberry Royale cupcakes. Brooke and Darnell cut into a small white cake covered in Swiss dots.
