A Modern Wedding at the Toledo Museum of Art in Toledo, Ohio

Stephanie Sferra (27 and an academic adviser) and Robert Bassill (36 and a high school music teacher) visited the Toledo Museum of Art's during one of his first trips to her hometown, and it quickly became one of their favorite date destinations. So when it came time to select a locale for their summer nuptials, the museum was an obvious choice. "It was really important to pick a venue that was dear to our hearts and reflected something we liked to do together," Stephanie says. Vows were exchanged at the Historic Church of St. Patrick, which boasts a soaring ceiling, ornate architecture and traditional wooden pews. Mostly green and neutral blooms perfectly complemented the church's Irish backdrop. "All we wanted was lush, textured and green," Stephanie says of their leafy floral arrangements. Guests then headed to the Toledo Museum of Art's Glass Pavilion for the reception, which began with strolling cocktails while touring the museum exhibits and glass-blowing demonstrations. "Our reception style was bright, light and minimal," Stephanie says. "Since our site was glass, we wanted to let it be the beautiful, airy space it was." Clean lines and geometric furniture created a modern ambiance, while the signature floor-to-ceiling glass walls let in soft, natural daylight. The couple's navy, sage and gray palette was woven into the stationery, bridal party attire and flowers, and it transitioned effortlessly into the reception setting. Rich blue linens, gray accents and lush, green centerpieces featuring foliage, succulents, thistle and berries brought a natural feel to the contemporary space. —Samantha Meux
