A Modern Wedding at The Clayton on the Park in Scottsdale, Arizona

As newcomers to Scottsdale, Arizona, Kelly Coulter (30 and in marketing) and Jesse Coulter (30 and an accountant) met at a pool party and exchanged numbers to meet up later for happy hour. Five years later, after many more happy hours, a house and rescuing a big great dane, Jesse popped the question at the end of a date to recreate the night they first said “I love you.” The couple got married at The Clayton on the Park in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona, and played off of the modern vibe for their wedding style. The couple and family members designed their own decoration pieces to make their wedding personal: Jesse built the altar cross display for their wedding ceremony, along with the centerpiece flower boxes for the reception tables, which were filled with colorful pops of Arizona flowers. In between, they also had a cocktail hour where the band, Vinyl Station, was a highlight. At the end of the evening, Kelly and Jesse gave their guests their favorite white chocolate-covered popcorn from Nothing Bundt Cakes. “We tried to reflect our taste throughout the entire day in our selection of the band, flowing drinks and yummy food,” says Kelly.
