A Modern Wedding at Encanterra Country Club in San Tan Valley, Arizona

Abbey Herr (30) and Paul Brennan (29) got married at Encanterra Country Club in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Upon visiting, Abbey says she “thought it was the most beautiful place with incredible views. It feels like a different world out there!” Before finalizing their wedding colors, Paul tried on a navy tuxedo, which Abbey thought was handsome. “My favorite color is pink, so I always knew I wanted that color in my wedding,” says Abbey. She decided to pair the two colors to create a modern palette that popped against the natural backdrop of the outdoor ceremony. The flowers were simple, incorporating bright pink roses, daisies and carnations, Abbey’s sorority flower. The bride handmade the table numbers, escort cards, the guest book and signs, including a memorial with the names of loved ones who could not be present. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with the best sangria Abbey says she's ever had, followed by a reception with dinner and a DJ who, according to the couple, was an expert at keeping the party going with games and dance music. Abbey offers advice to future couples: “Don’t worry about the little details -- people rarely remember those things. Just enjoy the day, the moments, your spouse and guests -- those are the things that truly matter!”
