A Modern Wedding at Eilan Hotel & Spa in San Antonio, Texas

Samantha (Sam) Morganroth (27 and a teacher) and Michael Voris (33 and in sales/ marketing) met on a blind date at the Fox and Hound Bar & Grill in San Antonio, Texas. From that meeting, things progressed quickly: the next day Sam and Michael were boyfriend and girlfriend, three months later they moved in together and three years later Michael proposed. The two were married at Eilan Hotel and Spa, a small Tuscan-inspired boutique hotel in San Antonio, Texas with breathtaking romantic views of the Texas Hill Country. They chose a color palette of charcoal gray and purple; the bridesmaids wore dark charcoal dresses that contrasted with the light grey groomsmen tuxedos. Sam wore a deep sweetheart neckline beaded bodice with a textured A-line skirt from Allure Couture. The flowers included a blend of deep purple, lavender and white. "My favorite parts of the night were the traditions," says Sam. "The first dance, toasts, cutting the cake, garter toss and dancing the night away with all of my favorite people in the room." Sam and Mike wanted to dance the night away for their wedding, which exactly what they ended up doing the entire night.

The wedding party consisted of 18 of the couple's closest friends and family. "We wanted the night to be a celebration of our love for each other, and for our family and friends who have supported us," says Sam.
Sam says the traditions were her favorite part of the night. Michael completed the tradition of breaking the glass to begin the couple's new life together.

"The day reflected us perfectly," says Sam. "We spent the night side by side laughing and having a great time, the happiest being right next to each other surrounded by the people we love."

The bridal party carried bouquets of blended purple flowers of various textures and hues with pops of bright greenery.
The couple chose purple and gray to have a wintery color palette without being holiday or festive.

The florals included a blend of purple hydrangeas and soft purple roses with pops of fuchsia and green.
The newlyweds shared their first dance to "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz. "We mastered our YouTube dance moves and had a blast surrounded by our family and friends," says Sam.
Sam and Michael's wedding cake was a classic white three tier cake with purple ribbon around each tier and purple flowers scattered throughout.
