Jordana Rabinowitz (33 and a visual manager for Club Monaco) and Jason Ross (39 and a business valuation consultant) let their venue lead the way when it came to wedding day inspo. “I wanted something original and raw, but with history and creative energy,” Jordana says. “We found that in the Basilica.” Jordana used her creative background to design the details of the day while embracing the space’s features. “I loved how wild the Basilica felt with its 40-foot ceilings and weathered brick,” Jordana says. In juxtaposition to the antique surroundings, the pair filled the space with Lucite candle holders and a floating greenery Chuppah.
Jordana called her color palette “50 shades of invisible,” choosing neutral whites, creams and grays. “I wanted more greenery than flowers, and I chose for the centerpieces to be more textural than colorful,” Jordana says. In line with the venue’s history as a steel foundry, the couple displayed messages on metallic sheets with calligraphy. Jordana’s family arranged for multiple cannons to shoot confetti and surprise the newlyweds as they headed to the reception.
