From the moment they got engaged, Alexander (Alex) and Scott planned every aspect of their wedding together. They selected place settings, mapped out floorplans and agreed to wear tuxedos, but no socks. So at the ceremony, “we walked down the aisle as one,” Scott says. Afterward, the Tennessee natives and their guests took in skyline views and mingled over fried green tomatoes and champagne. Late in the evening, Alex and Scott realized they’d forgotten just one detail—and rushed to sign the marriage certificate. “We loved the idea of having a black-tie, seated dinner juxtaposed with traditional Southern food, so we decided to serve our favorite meal: fried chicken with macaroni-and-cheese and haricot verts,” Alex says. The female attendants wore slim black jumpsuits, for a more masculine approach to the typical wedding party look, and topped the style off with corsages.
