Aneri and Zoey have been inseparable for over a decade. After a seven-year engagement, Aneri and Zoey wanted a wedding that honored their roots, as well as the home they’d built together. First came the venue, which Aneri says “blended my love of modern aesthetics with Zoey’s love of the countryside.” Next, the couple met their planner, who helped them come up with a theme inspired by Lenoir (their favorite Austin restaurant), the design scheme of their house and their respective Afghani and Indian cultures. Aneri’s favorite moment of the day came at the reception, when the couple danced to the last song of the night, “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, surrounded by their guests. Aneri wore a custom white and gold sari, while Zoey chose a lace gown. “Zoey and I loved getting our mehndi done surrounded by loved ones,” Aneri says. “We hid each other’s names in the designs.”Vibrant antique rugs, lime-washed urns and Indian-inspired prints all gave the lounge areas a bohemian feel, partially inspired by Aneri and Zoey’s favorite restaurants, as well as their home. The biggest hit of all was a greenery wall, which guests used as a backdrop for selfies. “The draped ceiling installation gave the space a calming, surreal effect,” Aneri says.

Aneri and Zoey came up with three signature drinks to honor their tastes, including “The Zoey,” a sweet old-fashioned with salted caramel; “The Aneri,” a spicy margarita; and a classic cosmo, which just also happens to be the name of the pair’s pup. Cosmo, the couple’s Yorkie, rocked a custom outfit for the big event.
