A Modern Loft Wedding at The LOFT at Centered Chef in Chicago, Illinois

Melissa Rodgers (26 and a technology consultant) and Wesley Robinson (28 and a consulting resource manager) had a mutual proposal! Their wedding at The LOFT at Centered Chef in Chicago, captured by Melissa Jordan Photography, was only the second wedding booked in the new venue. “We fell in love with its warm, urban feel,” says the couple. To match Chicago's May weather, the couple selected a color palette of light gray and yellow for their breezy feel. Melissa and Wesley paid homage to their love of Disney movies by creating their own version of the handprint mailbox and “Our Adventure Book” from the movie 'Up.' The food at this wedding was top-notch: A few months before the wedding, chef Ryan Hutmacher, owner of Centered Chef, won a nationally televised cooking competition, so Melissa and Wesley were able to happily brag about their wedding’s celebrity chef! The couple’s best advice for to-be-weds: “Don’t skimp on pictures and videos!
