A Modern Jewish Wedding with Art Deco Details at The Confidante Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida
Erin Chiet and Jeremy Bloom wanted their day to feel like "an intimate lounge" instead of a wedding. Their low-key and colorful celebration drew inspiration from the textures and warmth of Miami—including soft, ashy colors with palm trees and greenery. "We used all the furniture we could from the hotel itself," the couple says. "The venue was so cool that we didn't feel like it needed much other than our flowers and music." The ceremony took place under a chuppah covered with greenery and flowers—and the blooms were later reused in the centerpieces. "For me, a large bouquet didn't make sense. I was walking down the aisle with both Mom and Dad and couldn't cover the dress up, so I designed an amazing floral wrist piece," Erin says. Her dress also captured the "The Great Gatsby, art deco and Hollywood glamour" of the wedding with sparkly details and a dramatic train. Two wedding cakes—a fondant-covered creation with a personalized topper and a two-tier cake with sprinkles and dripped chocolate—were pretty enough to double as décor.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: "We did things very different and had our wedding party sit in funky chairs surrounding the chuppah," the couple says.
