In the midst of planning their Tampa wedding, Brittni Loyless (29 and a funeral director) and Laselve Harrison (29 and an attorney) decided not to leave the weather to chance. “We loved the venue’s unique look and that it had an outdoor vibe without actually being outdoors,” Brittni says. The venue’s remarkable black-and-white floor spurred the modern minimalistic design, which came to life sans flowers. Instead, black lacquered pedestals displayed clusters of verdant greens. The groom’s grandmother baked a traditional Caribbean black rum cake for the occasion, and a steel pan band performed during cocktail hour. Dozens of black and white balloons showered the newlyweds during their grand exit, which culminated with a Rolls-Royce getaway.
