A Modern, Glamorous Wedding at Parish Art Museum in Water Mill, New York

Lucie Fink and Michael Morris wed with 200 of their closest friends at Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, New York. The wedding, which doubled as their 10-year anniversary celebration, had a sleek black and white theme with accents of sage and greenery. Guests first received an emailed save-the-date (the bride is a video producer who wanted to conserve paper) before getting a neutral-colored wedding invitation. The ceremony itself was entirely original: It took place in a pitch-black room with dramatic spotlighting. "I had always dreamed of getting married outside in the bright sunshine, so when our planners suggested a dramatic and dimly lit ceremony essentially inside of a black box, I initially objected," Lucie says. "After giving it some thought, however, I slowly started to envision how visually stunning and different this ceremony would be." Guests sat in a circular arrangement surrounding the couple, who stood under a halo chuppah with greenery and four copper legs. This chuppah was later moved behind the head table for the seated dinner. "The reception tables were sleek and simple with black plates, infinity mirrored candle troughs and an assortment of high and low floral arrangements," Lucie says. The couple opted for a variety of tablescapes—including wood and copper-accented farm tables and round tables covered with flax-style linens. Glass-covered Edison bulbs dangled overhead, and bauble string lights twinkled along the perimeter of the space.  Lucie wore a modern, whimsical gown with 3-D textured flowers, which she paired with chunky white mesh booties engraved with their initials and wedding date. Michael donned a black tuxedo and his great-grandfather's cuff links and studs.
