A Modern, Elegant Wedding at NeueHouse Hollywood in Los Angeles, California

On their wedding day, Catherine Hong and Muneeb Bukhari wanted a "big party" for their family and friends. "The theme was a mix of old- and new-Hollywood glamour, elegance and a throwback to the days of black-tie affairs," the couple says. "The venue, NeueHouse Hollywood, definitely helped because it had that iconic feel of Hollywood during the ’50s and ’60s." The color palette of black, white and gold showed up  throughout the wedding day—starting with the modern wedding arch with streamers and white flowers. The rooftop ceremony overlooked the Hollywood sign,  and it was set up with ghost chairs, white rose petals and plenty of orchids. Catherine and Muneeb dressed according to a The Great Gatsby and old Hollywood theme. She wore a sleeveless ball gown with floral lace embellishments, nude mesh and pearl buttons down the back. He sported a white tuxedo jacket, black bow tie and black tuxedo pants. In order for guests to find their seats, they referenced a 6.5-foot-tall clear engraved seating chart. "Guests were directed to the reception, which was an old TV studio set up with a mix of round and square mirrored tables," the couple says. "The mirrored tabletops had the room glitzy and sparkling from every direction of the room." The tables were decorated with stemmed floating candles, crystal candelabras, feathers and modern dinnerware. Guests danced the night away with help from an eight-piece band that performed the couple's favorite songs all night. 
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: Instead of a cake, Catherine and Muneeb had a custom-made doughnut station with a laser-cut monogram that read ‘Donut Leave Me Hanging.’
