A Modern Desert Wedding at Hey Babe Ranch in Alpine, California
Linda Pheng describes her wedding to Gary Pheng as "bohemian with a pinch of eclectic, minimalistic, rustic and modern vibes." The fashion choices completely catered to the theme—Linda wore a vintage-inspired long-sleeve dress with a gold head chain, while Gary donned a velvet jacket. The jacket color matched the deep green bridesmaid dresses, which served as a cool contrast to the warm desert setting. Linda and Gary's ceremony overlooked the picturesque mountains and was anchored with a simple wood arch. Guests headed indoors for a rustic reception. "I wanted a ton of greenery with white and a few pops of deep red and burgundy," Linda says. "I also had to have garlands for my long row of connecting farm tables." Gary made a modern-rustic seating chart, and Linda designed Bitmoji wedding favor pins. Other personal details included a sweetheart table with large newlywed chairs and late-night hot dogs on a stick.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: Linda and Gary had a traditional first look. "For once in our lives, the one thing I never showed him was my dress and the look I was going for," Linda says. "I caved in once and asked if he wanted a peak, but he said 'no.' Thank goodness because the surprise was worth the wait."
