A Modern, Colorful Wedding at the Energy Innovation Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

As a commercial photographer and creative director, Alisha Johns brought color and creativity to her wedding with Graham Cohen, which took place in their hometown of Pittsburgh. "We were going for a modern, colorful and fun vibe, so we incorporated almost every color of the rainbow," Alisha says. "We also made sure to have interactive installations and photo opportunities." The indoor ceremony took place in front of floor-to-ceiling glass windows at the Energy Innovation Center. Alisha stunned in form-fitting dress with lace, fringe and a V-neckline, which she paired with a delicate headband. Graham sported an "ice-blue" suit with a subtle navy floral tie. Alisha and Graham took a relaxed approach to the wedding party fashion. "We told the groomsmen to wear any navy suit that they had in their closet, and we provided matching ties for them all," Alisha says. "For the bridesmaid dresses, I curated a Pinterest board with more than 100 dresses from popular retailers for them to choose from." The reception, held in a bright and airy room with large windows, continued the neutral color palette with pops of bright color. Decorations included pink balloons, personalized floor decals, tropical flower arrangements and a Pantone-color escort card display. In addition to a sprinkle-covered wedding cake, Alisha and Graham served colorful cookies in the shapes of palm trees, flamingos and honey pucks.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: "Our ceremony was written and officiated by one of our closest friends," Alisha says. "The script included quotes, an extended sports metaphor, personalized vows and a handwritten poem by my college roommate."
