A Modern Ballroom Wedding at Ashton Gardens in Sugar Hill, Georgia

It wasn't love at first sight when Lisa Parker (35 and an online gift shop owner) was set up on a blind date with Thomas Morris (32 and a general contractor). "I thought he was nice and funny so I filed him in the friend folder and we stayed in contact," says Lisa. "Three months later we went on our second date and after that the rest was history—it was love at maybe the third or fourth sight!" Over the next eight months, the couple planned a glamorous indoor wedding at Ashton Gardens in Sugar Hill, Georgia. "As soon as we walked into the chapel, nothing else mattered," says Lisa. "I knew right away we had to get married there—it's perfect for someone who doesn't plan on having a huge wedding so it won't look empty." Lisa and Thomas achieved a glamorous-yet-modern aesthetic by working with shades of white and adding subtle hints of gold and bling. All of Lisa's bridesmaids matched in white dresses but when she changed into a short reception dress, they also changed into matching black dresses. The couple went with a theme of "Countdown to love" because they got married on March 21st (3.21) and they carried the love motif throughout all of their paper products. "I wanted everything about our wedding to be we clean, classic, modern and simple," says Lisa.
